Date Cake

  •     2 lb chopped, pitted dates
  •     1cup boiling water
  •     1 cup butter
  •     2lb granulated sugar
  •     12 larges eggs
  •     2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
  •    1/2 lb all-purpose flour
  •     2   teaspoon baking powder
  •     1/2 teaspoon salt
  •    1/4 lb roasted rava
  •     150 gram chopped cashew nuts
  •     cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, roasted and coarsely powdered

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175 degrees C). Line the bottom of a 9 x 13- inch pan with parchment paper and grease butter or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. On medium - low heat, roast the rava with some butter until golden in color and fragrant.
  3. Place dates into a medium, heat-resistant bowl and pour boiling water over the dates. Set bowl aside to cool for 30 minutes.
  4. Separate egg whites and whipped until they reach soft peaks. Transfer the egg whites to another bowl.
  5. Use a mixer to combine the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Then add egg yolks one at a time until fully mixed.
  6. Once the dates have cooled, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  7. Add in egg whites, egg yolk and vanilla and mix until fully incorporated. Stir in the dates and liquid.
  8. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  9. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Fold in cashew nuts.
  10. Add cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg powder.
  11. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread the batter evenly.
  12. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
    Tightly cover the cake with foil paper and store it at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Notes: when you make a cake, Butter and Eggs are at room temperature.

Butter Cream Icing

Butter Icing

Decorate a cake with butter cream icing tasty and make any design we like.
This butter icing recipe is creamy and buttery and spread or pipes a beautiful flowers any designs decorating for the birthday or any occasion cakes.

 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (4 cups) confectioners sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1tbsp almond extract or vanilla extract
  • 2 tbs Milk or Water
  • salt as needed

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl with stand mixture, using the whisk attachment, on a medium speed, add butter and shortening beat (about 3-4 minutes) until light and fluffy. 
  2. Add milk or water and beat for 4 minutes or until butter mixture comes creamy.
  3. Beat at slow, add sugar one cup at a time, and mix well until all combined.
  4. Using a rubber spatula, scrape the mixture, and beat until creamy.
  5. Cover with cling wrap or keep it in an airtight container.
  6. You can be stored in a refrigerator for two weeks. When using next time re-whip you before  using.
  7. If the icing is too stiff, gradually add every cup of icing 1 or 2 tsp of water or milk into it.
  8. If the icing is thin, add some icing sugar to make it stiff.

How To Make Mini Cake

When you decorate a cake, it looks beautiful icing, gives more taster cake. Make a cake with buttercream frosting it, add some sprinkles and write a happy birthday, anniversary or any other occasion message with icing. These decorating ideas and tips give you the to make your cake a good look.
A person who is new to cake decorating try this method.

Frosting:

  1. In a large bowl with stand mixture, using the whisk attachment, add icing sugar, butter, vegetable shortening and little bit of warm water, mix altogether until all combined.
  2. Whisk high speed for about 8 - 10 minutes or until light and fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla extract mix until combined.
  4. In a small bowl, scoop some frosting for cover the cake. 
  1. Bake and cool cake.
  2. Cut the cake using round cutter.
  3. Spread some butter icing in the center of the cake board.
  4. Pipe and coat around the cake with frosting.icing
  5. Using a spatula, spread the frosting to the cake until level.
  6. Using a brush, spread the gold dust onto the top of the cake.
  7. A beautiful mini cake is ready.

  கரட் கேக்



Carrot Cake

தேவையான பொருட்கள் :

  • 200 கிராம் துருவிய கரட்  
  • 200 கிராம்  அரைத்த பாதாம் பருப்பு
  • 150 கிராம்  பட்டர்
  • 180 கிராம் சீனி
  •  50  கிராம் மா
  • 1/2 தேக்கரண்டி பேக்கிங் பவுடர்
  • 2     தேக்கரண்டி கறுவா , ஏலக்காய், சாதிக்காய்  பவுடர்.
  • 2     முட்டை
  • 2     கப்  ஐசிங் பவுடர்                     

செய்முறை:
  1. முதலில் பட்டர், சீனி இரண்டையும் மிக்சியில் நன்றாக அடிக்கவும். 
  2. பின் முட்டையையும்  சேர்த்து அடிக்கவும். 
  3. மாவையும், பேக்கிங் பவுடரையும் நன்றாக சலித்து வைக்கவும். 
  4. பின் துருவிய கரட், பாதாம் பருப்பு, கறுவா பவுடர் என்பவற்றைச் சேர்க்கவும். அதன் பின் பட்டர் பூசி, மா தூவிய கேக் தட்டில் ஊற்றவும்.
  5. 350 பாகை பரனைற்றில் சூடாக்கிய அவனில் 30 நிமிடங்கள் பேக் பண்ணவும். 
  6. நன்றாக ஆறியதும் ஐசிங் பவுடர் தூவி பரிமாறவும்.

I made this cake for our family. 
 

Ingredients:

  • 100 gram rava
  • 100 gram oats
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 200 gram ground almonds
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 30 gr coco powder
  • 2 tbsp vanilla
  • 200 gram butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 5 prunes, chopped
  • 5 dates, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175C).
  2. Line and grease 9x13 inch baking sheet.
  3. Pour the boiling water over the oats, let it stand for 30 minutes.Beat the eggs and butter until light color. Stir in vanilla.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together oats, rava, flour, baking powder, baking soda, mixing well.
  5. Combine the ground almonds, cinnamon powder.
  6. Add the prunes, dates to the flour mixture, to all combined.
  7. Pour the batter into prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake at 350 F/170C degrees for 30 minutes or inserted the knife center of the cake,comes our clean.
  9.  Gently place black berries on top of the cake. Dab berries with frosting will help hold it in place.
